For those of your wondering about the title of this page,
Timez Attack is a very cool program that helps students learn the multiplication facts. The sixth graders came into the lab today and I began giving them instructions on getting started in the program. You should have heard the groans when I told them that they would be practicing multiplication facts! However, at the end of their computer time no one wanted to leave! They were asking if they would get to play it again during their next time in the computer lab.
Timez Attack can be downloaded for use at home also and the best part is it's FREE! There is a more extensive edition for a cost, but the basic program is free. Here is the address for that web site:
Don't forget that parent/teacher conferences will be next Tuesday 3:00 - 9:00 pm and Wednesday 8:30 - 11:30.
